Just got asked to join the Gallup Poll Panel

As some people know I've very politically minded but I don't want to get set up for non-stop surveys...

Has anyone done this before?

our company just spent millions for gallup to come in and take a sampling of our workforce. The survey was 12 questions and we got back tons of data, which eventually led to over the top planning and "save the day" changes which have been shoved down our throat. Countless hours in meetings, all so that over the next 5 years our scores will go up in the areas which we are interested in. The truth? A bunch of smoke and mirrors, promises that are bound to be broken and a whole lot of talking out of both sides of the mouth. In other words, you dont have to really be good as long as you look good.

Gallup is a waste of time IMO, they tell you what you already know so that you can pretend to fix what you know you wont.

Sounds a lot like the Gartner group. You give them lots of money and they just state the obvious.

I think it's all BS. Just like when company execs hire some jackass consultant to come in and whack their pud for a few weeks. Then the exec can say.. "HEY LOOK WHAT I DID!" When in reality.. he didn't do shit

I concur.

You've already spent too much time on Gallup posting this.
