Joe Rocket Phoenix....

I would have to say they are nice shoes...the fit is very good and the comfort level is high...i have to put some miles on her to get my final feeling on them....my only problem is the finish, little sloppy .....also the velcro and elastic lace is nice

Those shoes look , however they don't look like they would offer much protection.

I'm thinking the same. Except for a little bit of rubber/plastic, the ankles are pretty exposed.

i am not that worried about protection....they do offer some but i only wanted that ankle protection incase the MSF guys are anal

i just wanted comfortable riding shoes that offer some protection and look sorta good...and they fit the bill

hmm...the MSF guys are pretty adament about full coverage of the entire ankle, let us know what they say

what i might just do is wear my work boots to the MSF class

My MSF class required full coverage of the ankle... i.e. work boots.. one of the ladies work high heeled boots and they told her she had to come back because of the heel.
