well Canada needs to distance itself from the states, Canada-USA is the largest trade partnership in the world from what I understand, so it's unavoidable that fluctuations in US economy will hit us hard, but to the US we're obviosly far less influential 'cause of population, so we can't effect them a whole lot, but if they go down, we go down too.
To many eggs in to small a basket I think. We've just been spoiled so long with cheap shipping costs, the thought of shipping to/from overseas is considered to expensive, especially with fuel costs being what they are. We've gotten away with dirt cheap for so long that cheap is considered to much.
