World War 3: Is it Possible?

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20060705/...un_north_korea

Think its possible since the tension between U.S and North Korea is rising? I mean if we attack North Korea, it would be almost sure thing that Russia and China would step in. Im part Korean dont get me wrong and fear the worst for South Korea, but within the years the tension has begun to stur up more and more.

North Korea wont stop testing no matter what, they developed nuclear weapons and U.S warned them but they still kept going.

What do you guys think of this current situation. This is no Bush bashing or anything, just thoughts on what you believe will happen between U.S and North Korea. This is a very serious issue.

even I think it's getting to a point where it might be necessary to step in on behalf of japan.

I think that if Japan didn't have a pacifist constitution, they would have done it themselves.

It's also a shame that you guys where in such a rush to get into Iraq, 'cause it means that your international reputation is at a point where if you took action against N.Korea others WILL step in against you. I don't think Russia is in a position to do so, but China certainly is.

Frankly I think the only option to get this done without getting into WW3 is to petition China to do it with US assistance. That way they are in charge, which is only right since it's on their home turf, they know there wont be silo's deployed in N.Korea (their backyard).

overall, I think there's 100x more reason to get involved in N.Korea than there was in Iraq, but I dunno if it's feasible or not.

One of those nukes could reach CA, what if they fired a bunch of them at us. I think sanctions is the wrong thing to do as a county with noting to lose could be very dangerous.

1 If i were China, I'd be just as worried as anybody else.
Kim suck dick is a madman, and as such, has made no bones about how China has "disgraced" communism by partnering with the enemy (the US_ to create factories and start even the slightest amount of capitalism.

China is well aware of this, they are stuck between the proverbial "rock and a hard place" as they cannot back down and acquiesce to the US without looking worse, and they sure as hell don't want to let that little bastard fire of a missile and hit Tokyo as that would push them back away from the rest of the world very quickly for not doing anything to help stop him.

Russia is a non-entity. They barely have the ability to launch missiles anymore., and were most likely the source for the nuclear material SK used. They may have the capability to produce, but it was a lot easier to just buy the stuff on the black market a few years ago.

Oh and they MAY be able to launch a rocket that can theoretically reach the US, but doing so, accurately, is not as easy as it sounds.

They have a long way to go to get anything other than water at that range.

Nope, it's mainland Asia and Japan that should be really worried.

After all, Hitler said he just wanted to reunite And Defend Germany when he came to power.........

Oops.

You'd think the world would learn.

And Junior, YOU may thin the US is the bad guy, but in all reality, most of the world doesn't give a rats ass, and rarely does.

Europe doesn't care unless it affects them (except for the same radical element that lives in parts of the USA *cough cough * California), Oceania could give two shits, again not their problem and they have other to deal with.

Nope mostly its people with nothing better to do (politicians and conspiracy theorists) who think that the US is "the World's bad guy".

Most of the world loves two things about America.

Our wealth that allows us to buy their products.
And our tourists that take our wealth ans spend it in their countries.

If that stopped, then you would see the world really start to go to shit.

Bush insulted them years ago and now they have built rockets that crash into the ocean......It's a possibility but I'm not overly concerned, my bills are late.

naaa, US wouldn't be the bad guy here, I think it needs to be done. But at the same time, fack, don't piss off China, they're an emerging superpower, so either nip them in the bud or make a friend of them.

and yes, Kim Jong Il is insane.

ww3 is inevitable but our resources are so depleted with iraq that we are really stuck in a predicament.

I think the rest of the world knows this and some (iran, NK) are trying to take advantage of the situation.
