Every year our Affiliate (All of Cincinnati) has a softball tournament, that puts all 8 regions against each other. It's the banking center managers and up that are elgible to play, but because injuries I managed to wiggle my way on to the roster this season. Today was our first and only practice in prep for the tourney on tuesday.
These are super competitve business people, but on the field of play.......
Ok, well some of them have skills, but others should be sitting out. We ran batting practice and some position drills. Although it is "just" a sporting event, this will be a great opportunity to make a statement and get my name out there in front of some big whigs.
So, the first 3 batters go, and they are hitting grounders and some nice line drives to the outfield. Some good base hits, ok maybe a few. I get up......and start doing the Barry Bonds. I think I hit at least 6 or 7 out of the park (300 ft softball fences).
I was hitting them over the fence and up onto the grass hill behind....They asked me to start hitting grounders, so I did, until they had to try to field them
I love softball, it is the perfect old man/drink beer sport.
