So I caved in...and bought....

My 10 (soon to be 11 in Oct) year old daughter a cell phone. :gun

Ok Ok, it's not what it seems. This is strictly a practical purchase. The phone is called a Migo.

You program 4 numbers into it (mom, dad etc) and it has 911 on it too. It has a GPS device in it, so I can get online and see where she is at any time. It will basically work when she needs to be picked up from practice, or needs to contact us for any other reason. Of course, it will be OFF when she is in school, and if she breaks it it will be her arse

I don't blame you. I'm sure by the time my daughter's that age, we'll probably get her one too.

Knee doesn't it also send you an sms, if you have a certain location preset into it and she/he moves away from that location? I'm pretty sure I read this just recently about the Migo?

yes, I think so warp. It keeps tabs on her at all times. Pretty good I think. Once she is old enough to drive, I think something like this will come in very handy....

Good purchase. My daughter has had a cell phone since she was 10 also, but the Migo wasn't available then...
