the forum is slow on the weekend

next weekend i start my work every fri-sat-sun routine because school start back up, i usually get plenty of down time at work to surf. But the forum is pretty much dead on the weekends, you guys must all have a life, you bastages.

So im sitting here thining when im done all my school ( about 3 years) i want to build a bike, im stuck between a stretched turboed zx14/busa or a really cool rigid with a monster motor and some cool ideas i have to make it unique, i actually am leaning towards the cruiser.

Some ideas i have are linked brakes with just a rear brake lever to clean up the handle bars, use an internal throttle to actuate the clutch so again the bars would be real clean, build the risers up with an open enclosed section between them to put the tach

i would also like to make it light as hell , by using aluminum on alot of stuff instead of steel, i was thinking in using some sportbike forks so i could get bst wheels, with 1 brake rotor on the left side, then for the rear make some type of trellis swingarm using a ducati rear wheel carrier so i could use a rear bst ducati wheel, so on the right side of the bike you would pretty mush have an unobstructed view of the wheels

i cant decide how long the swingarm should be , ive never really seen a stretched swingarm on a cruiser and im not sure it would look good, but a little bit of length on the swingarm would give me some compliance, since it will be a rigid chassis

so what do you guys think, give me some ideas, im not even sure i could pull all this of, but i know enough people and can figuire out pretty quick when im over my head to ask for help, plus it would be a really fun learning experience

lmao...so much for us being a fountain of good ideas Dave... What a bunch of postwhores we are. Wish I could help you with the bike. Ask me about building a house and I'll give you ideas. Ask me about building a bike and I'll just give you a confused look, lol. Sounds like an ambitious plan though. You talk it over with your dad yet to see what his thoughts are?

My vote is for a ZX14 Turbo! Or even twin turbo All you need is the motor, front & rear wheels, front brakes that work with your fingers(not feet)... Oh and a place to sit
But if you want people and bitches drooling all over it, best build the other thing! Cause people just don't understand fast things.
Since you already got the cool looking woman,,,,,, ZX14 :corn

ohh if i build the rigid, ill lay money it will beat a sport bike from stop light to stop light, just because of wheelbase and center of gravity, it will be long and low

but a f'n turbo 14 would rock, well at least i got about 3 years to decide, lol, i always have been a dreamer, but i guess thats how i get what i want, dream it, work at it, get it

btw the woman called me old when i said i might build a cruiser when school is done, lol
