WTF?! Bestbuy.com

Am I a fucking retard? (DON'T ANSWER THIS!) Why can't I find a cd player for a car on bestbuy.com? :comperror

Am I not searching the right way? I've done searches for cd players, automotive cd player, car cd player, brand names of cd players etc. You can't even find a button for "automotive" or whatever the hell they call that area where they have all the decks and speakers and subs and amps and all that good junk. I just want to be ready when I get my new to me car, and I can't find jack shit. Help me out. I'm a just a girl.

Seriously, what should I look for in a cd changer for a car? Is it just the capacity of the cd's held? Or should I look for ___________ or _____________ or _________????

Girls don't come knowing this stuff.

honestly, i wouldn't look for one at all. had one, never really used it since i already had a cd head unit.. wished i had spent the $$ for the cd changer on something else.

curious, why do you want a cd head unit and a cd changer?

I don't want both... I want one or the other....

in my new car search- the VW don't really have cd players in them until the most recent years... they all have the capability to have a cd changer but most don't have one.

is that making sense?

I thought I wanted a deck unit- but I don't think that I want one- it'd mess up the lines of the console on the cars that I've been looking at. Maybe I'll just end up getting a deck....

Look into head units with aux rca's in the back. hook a 3.5mm pin-to-rca connetor to the aux and you'll have both cd and iPod

just a thought..

Capability is for a factory CD changer, not an aftermarket one. You'd have to buy one from VW for it to hook up to the VW stereo unless you want to pay$$ and have a bad set up. I'd say go with a CD head unit, and go for the MP3 player input jack.
