How to be a good democrat

How to be a good Democrat:

1 You have to believe that the AIDS virus is spread by a lack of
federal funding.

2. You have to believe that the same teacher who can't teach
4th-graders how to read is somehow qualified to teach those same kids about sex.

3. You have to believe that guns in the hands of law-abiding
Americans are more of a threat than U.S. nuclear weapons technology in the hands of Chinese & North Korean communists.

4. You have to believe that there was no art before Federal funding.

5. You have to believe that global temperatures are less affected by cyclical, documented changes in the earth's climate and more affected by soccer moms driving SUVs.

6. You have to believe that gender roles are artificial but being homosexual is natural.

7. You have to be against capital punishment but support abortion on demand.

8. You have to believe that businesses create oppression, and
governments create prosperity.

9. You have to believe that hunters don't care about nature, but
loony activists who have never been outside of San Francisco do.

10. You have to believe that self-esteem is more important than
actually doing something to earn it.

11. You have to believe that the military, not corrupt politicians, start wars.

12. You have to believe the NRA is bad because it supports certain parts of the Constitution, while the ACLU is good because it supports certain parts of the Constitution.

13. You have to believe that taxes are too low, but ATM fees are too high.

14. You have to believe that Margaret Sanger and Gloria Steinem are more important to American history than Thomas Jefferson, Gen. Robert E.Lee, and Thomas Edison.

15. You have to believe that standardized tests are racist, but
racial quotas and set-asides are not.

16. You have to believe that Hillary Clinton is normal and really a
very nice person.

17. You have to believe that the only reason socialism hasn't worked
anywhere it's been tried is because the right people haven't been in
charge.

18. You have to believe conservatives telling the truth belong in
jail, but a liar and sex offender belonged in the White House.

19. You have to believe that homosexual parades displaying drag,
transvestites, and bestiality should be constitutionally protected,
and manger scenes at Christmas should be illegal.

20. You have to believe that illegal Democratic Party funding by the
Chinese government is somehow in the best interest of the United
States.

21. You have to believe that this letter is part of a vast,
right-wing conspiracy.

I don't want to be part of either party. I just vote for the candidate that sucks the least lately...

How to be a good Republican

1. Don't question the facts that show voting ballots have been tampored with to get Bush into office. Just know that it's good for us.

2. Don't question why we went to Iraq. Just know that it's good for us.

3. Don't question why Bush keeps changing his reasons as to why we went or why were still there. Just know that it's good for us.

4. Don't question why oil prices are sky rocketing for the past 2 years and now magically dropped in the election months when republican congressmen's jobs were on the line. Just buy more SUVs and know that random spikes in gas prices are good for us.

5. Don't question why we supply arms to dictators and then turn on them when defense contractors and the military-industrial complex need to stay in buisness. Just know that it's good for us.

6. Don't question why we still have soldiers coming home in body bags when those towel heads have no infrastructure or means of hurting us. Just know that it's good for us.

7. Don't question why your secretly spied on by the government and that the constitiution and bill of rights no longer apply to our elected officials. Just know that it's good for us.

8. Don't question why every day you loose more personal freedoms and rights, and that the very foundation of this country is chipped away every day. (ie no right to trial by jury or see evidence against you) Just know that it's good for us.

9. Don't question why large companies like Exxon can destory our environment and are ordered to pay for clean up and then never pay a cent and the burdon is put on the taxpayer instead. Just know that it's good for us.

10. Don't question why our president is the laughing stock among world leaders. Or why one of the best sec. of states this country had quits under this administration, and we currently have a yes man (and yes she looks like a man) occupy the job now. Just know that alienating us from the rest of the world is in our best interest and it's good for us.

11. Don't question why this administration is governing based on fear, hatred, and scapegoating a group of people. All just to distract us from the real problems were facing. Or recognize the parallels of such blatent disregard for human life or liberties that have not been seen since Hoover was in charge of the FBI. Just know that it's in our best interest.

Without making things too political, a system of only two political parties that has political power, where the top thing on the agenda is to make the opposing party look bad, where the majority of the politicians come from overpriviledged homes and though using nice rhetorics and the right keywords really only care about their own personal political agenda or the interests of his/hers group of peers (which no mere mortal ever will be part of) doesnt really seem to be that much about the people anymore does it?

Everytime there's a potential great leader, regardless of political affiliation, coming from a more normal background. He or she gets scrutinised to such a degree it's ridiculous on grounds that belongs in cheesy soap operas, the ability to solve problems and take care of the people should be what matters not
You don't need captain America as your leader, you need a good capable person.

I feel bad for the American people, because you are torn in two if not three and four, when you should be united as one.
People may say what they like about the current US leader, but he has not managed to unite the people, and this isn't just because he is who he is, but because this is the protocol of politics to only embrace ones own and when the polls says something; there's a PR event, a smile or concern, and a handshake, nothing really gets done. This is regardless of affiliation. Who is in fact the Master of Puppets in the US? It's certainly not the voters.

There's no policy, just the populist issue of the day. No actual longterm commitment, push the right buttons.

A big name/money corporation/organisation has more influence on US politics than you, the people.

So the people US have different opinions on how their country should be run, this is a good thing, this could lead to good results if the energy wasn't wasted on attributing political affiliation with negatives.

I'm almost certain that this big shit throwing contest of the Democrats and Republicans almost is a ploy, like that of Ceauşescu the former president of Romania to turn off the electricity for periods of time so that people would rather care about keeping warm and getting food than care about politics.

Stop letting them play you, you are better than that and you deserve better.
