When to purchase new gear?

Long story short. Got into a :jimmie 3 weeks ago and bike is being repaired, should be good to go in a 1-1.5 weeks.

The gear I had on saved my life (arai, astar gloves, first gear jacket, shitty sketcher boots). But need new stuff now.

So is it best to wait till new stuff comes out for 07 or just get stuff now (possibly cheaper end of 06 stuff)?

I hate buying shit and then a week later something way cooler comes out that I wanted, but I guess that is inevitable... any thoughts?

To me IMHO it's a no-brainer...you will have your bike back in a few weeks and you'll be doing the same riding before your crash, accident or not..GET YOUR KIT NOW, even though you won't be up to date. It'ss better than skin grafts and road rash or worse.

Buy now. You can get good deals on stuff from 06 AND 05 that's still out there. I paid $150 for my first jacket simply by buying what was being phased out. Retail was $350.

www.newenough.com has very good prices usually. They've let me order multiple sizes and return what didn't work. Excellent customer service. I've bought a ton and always seem to go back to them. I believe they even helped Kneedragger get a Joe Rocket suit repaired by the factory at no cost even though it shouldn't have been covered. You can't put a price on that.
