New Gerber Multi-Tool

So I have multi-tools in my skiing backpack in my car and in my first aid kit.. So I bought another to have in my boat too..

One of the best things you can have with you..

This one came with a bit set too for random stuff..

That's all I use is Gerber...lots of guys liked to use Leatherman, but I think they feel flimsy and cheap. I like the attachments, but I'd probably lose them.

I've had very bad luck with Gerber lately. I was a gerber posterchild as a kid, I have probably had 7 or 8 Gerber pocketknives over the years, but the last 2 had quality that was very bad, flimsy pivot pin on the blade, cheap steel that wont hold an edge, not good stuff, I use a Columbia River Knife & Tool M16 for my daily carry pocketknife now, very happy with it, it's everything Gerber used to be, until they decided to fight with the chinese on price.

I'm willing to pay more money for a good quality tool, quality is more important than price in something you use so often.

HAIL TO THE KING!!

I have a Leatherman in my car and another one I have is a generic with the bit attachments I have in my Skiing/Snowboarding backpack.. Works great when you have to adjust bindings or tighten them down..

This is the first Gerber I have ever bought.. so we will see but so far from messing with it, everything works fine maybe Gerber got their act straight.. It happens with a lot of companies they usually have a few years or so of product that comes out that is crap because they try and pinch some pennies or try something completely new and they here about it from their loyal customers.

It cost $30 at Walmart too.. :

Looks like more shit to looke, the leatherman is all one piece, thats why I like it... but Gerber makes some good stuff, baby food too.
