Guys I have no sound on the work computer, was it gas turbine or ducted fan? Sucks arse either way to see such a nice model crash.

I love the engineering that goes into the model 4 stroke engines. The flat twins, fours and radials are inspiring to look at from my point of view, along with the state of the art gas turbines with their self-contained ECU's

ya, but it could have been that the CG was wrong, and the plane was unflyable. either way, that's about $10,000 down the drain in 5 seconds.

One possibilty is I still think the guy pulled pitch way too early on take off, as it honestly looked like there wasn't even enough airspeed to produce stable dynamic lift. It flops through the air and then you see it nose up to a typical stall scenario, airflow over the left wing has stalled completely and it drops like a stone....tragic
