Not sure i agree with that. If it's used in a felony then do what you want with it as it's normally confiscated anyway, but is racing a felony out there?

Hoang said he was caught late last year racing his prized car, on which he spent at least $10,000 to get into top shape. The 350-horsepower engine topped out at 160 mph, Hoang said, swearing it could beat a Corvette or even a Ferrari.
A ferrari.....

I don't think so Hoang.

don't know if its a felony or not

Cmon, the guys 18! I'd be surprised if he was pushin 200hp. You always get big talk out of the youngstas "The 18-year-old mechanic said a vehicle identification sticker apparently fell off and without it, police suspected some of the parts were stolen. Maldonado stood several feet away from his car as it was pounded into a heap of metal." Fell off!! Yeah right

true, it just makes them more dangerous and bigger outlaws.

i'm just wondering with all the bike accidents, when the time will come that they make racing on mountain roads a felony....and start crushing streetbikes....

only a thought....

That incident closed the HWY for 12hrs, and day before it was closed for 17hrs due to a similar incident.

ya i guess the major problem are the young people driving the cars and the shitty cars they drive.
I am not a racist but they all seem to be East Indians and Asians that are the problem.
FYI: the car that caused the accident on Hwy 400 in Canada was a 4 door grandam (driven by a muslum) not a rice car.

Cheers

I personally am not racing when riding up on a twisty road. I'm just out to enjoy myself, if I happen to pass somebody because I'm faster does that mean a cop could say I was racing? So basically any vehicle/driver that passes another could be classified as racing I suppose..

that's not really what communism was about, just how it was applied in eastern europe.

seriously tho, the odds of them running is way higher now, and your traffic fatalities will show that. These are dumb kids that love their cars more than their girlfriends, shitbox tho it may be, it's all the freakin kid has, and he WILL be willing to put his life, and the life of the innocent people around him at risk in order to protect it. This is the reason that it's such a brutal punishment to crush it, and also the reason the kid will defend it for all he's worth.

HAIL TO THE KING!!

I can see hard fines and hard times for racers but to take their cars and crush them is just ludacris(sp). People have been street racing since the car was invented and 30 years ago thy wouldnt crush a Camero witch was much faster and deadly than a honda civic and all they got was a ticket. I dont think the punishment fits the crime.

it doesn't.

they're trying to make a statement.

fuck with us, and we'll crush your car.

just gives them something extra to think about before the line up for the next race.
