Lost $320 selling my MotoGP tickerts

I'll never go back...

And now the hotel can't cancel my reservation confirmation because you can only do it on the web site and their web site doesn't work and the hotel owner is in India...

My credit card company won't refuse to honor the hotel charge but said I could dispute it...I told them I know one way not to get charged, cancel my card immediately and go fawk yourself...

If you lost so much money selling your tickets, then why not just go to the race?

I was supposed to go with him, as half of the deal is mine. I can't go because of money issues. It would cost me way more to actually go than to not go. I spent 6 mo of 2006 unemployed and still haven't recovered finacialy...

That sucks R4LTony, I know Sara just posted camping and food for all three nights at 50 bucks each.... pretty damn cheap if you ask me.

Sorry to hear of you not being able to go though, that blows...

well, it's not totally about money. My daughters birthday is the 20th, and that would mean missing it for the 3rd year in a row to go to the GP. Wifey was getting pissed, and i was dissapointing my daughter.. It's OK with me to miss them this year, my little girl is more important

YES Family comes first, if it was my daughters Birthday I'm not sure I would go either.

My wedding anniversary is on the 22nd....

But she's a wonderful woman, and told me that I needed to go to the race. Good woman. I'll make it up to her for sure.

I think you would still owe the account balance. Dispute is the better way to go.
The credit card company is SUPPOSED to be your advocate since you are their customer. They are not spending their own money and IMHO if you tell them not to pay a charge they should not pay it. At least until the situation is resolved.
If they pay then you are gonna have a hard tme getting your money back from the hotel people.

If you couldn't afford to go AND your daughters birthday was at the same time why did you enter into being part of going to the GP?
Obviously I don't know the whole story but geez..

No that's a good question. Originally I was hoping they would move the GP to a different date, but once again it fell the same weekend as her bday.

It was nice meeting your better half on Thursday. She seems like quite a catch..
