Glad to hear I'm not forgotten
. Lori, thanks for the pm...it means a lot to hear people remember him. Dave, it was nice to see you out and about...especially compared to the last time I saw you lol. Cant say how sorry I am for not stopping over, especially with you only being 4 streets away now. Alex, thanks for the call bro. Was nice hearing your voice the other week and hearing all the girls are doing well. Julie's already looking forward to the next time you guys visit
As it's been said, my job takes up the majority of my time now with 12 hr shifts and lots of overtime. After that the family takes up the rest. My typical day goes: wake up around 5pm (yes pm, lol) wife gets home shortly after with the kids. I have about an hour to spend with them to play and eat dinner. Then its off to work from 6:30pm to 6:30am. Come home...see them off to work and daycare/school...then sleep and start all over. Days off are the only time I have for getting anything done around the house.
Work itself has become pretty demanding as well. I've completed all training and now function in several different capacities, including 911, and police and fire dispatch. This is definately the most mentally taxing job I've ever had. I didnt know what multi-tasking really was till this lol. Keeping track of an entire shift of officers, and where they are and what they're doing, especially when the shit starts hitting the fan can take a lot out of you mentally.
I just dont seem to have much spare time anymore. And when I do its usually in the middle of the night on my days off because I've become such a night owl, but no one else is awake at those times. I've thought several times about getting on here and posting but I feel like I've lost touch with most of you and dont know whats going on anymore. I was thinking of posting in the Noobie section again for the hell of it cause its been so long lol.
Anyway, I'm gonna try to browse through here a bit and see whats been going on lately. Hope to talk to some of you soon...
