ha. that's great but true.... it's those values as a kid that make us who we are as adults. I hope I can get enough of those drugs into my child.

i've still got the hand imprint on the backside of my head from when i was a kid! god only knows how many times i had to go find a branch in the backyard for my mom or dad to use on my ass. i love my parents and hope that teaching my children right from wrong the same way will yield the same relationship that i have with my folks now.

on a side note, i remember trying to get away with cursing cause we didn't have any bars of soap left ANYWHERE in the house. my mom decided a bottle of liquid soap would be a good substitute. worst taste ever.

Amen to your post No1stunner!
But today is a very different day from "those" days! It is the adults that would get drugged!

Your parents would get drugged to the jail house for trying to poison you with house hold cleaners (soap).

Your parents would get drugged to jail for child abuse (spankings and whippings).

Your parents would get drugged to jail for violating child labor laws (mowing your neighbors lawn).

After your parents get drugged to jail then drugged to the court house they'd be drugged back to jail, you'd be drugged to child protective services then drugged to a foster home. This is why there is not alot of drugging going on today!
