Another lying employer...

Well, got some shocking news today...

What the company promised to pay me in commissions, is NOT what they promised.

I have an e-mail from one new owner to the original owner confirming my monthly salary (reduced 50%), $100 per loan funded and .33% of the rebate revenue.

I forward this e-mail to the President of the company twice in the last few weeks to get confirmation as my commission pay for September was only $100 per loan.

Hear nothing...

So this morning, I go into her office and she says, Oh, we have several e-mails that we are going to pay you $100 per brokered loan and .25% of the rebate on all banked loans...an e-mail which I never received.

So basically she lied outright to me about nothing I ever received.

So part of my "path in this lifetime" is to go where I am pointed, and you certainly can't get a job in the mortgage industry right now, but I am still stunned that there aren't any honest people in the world, and I seem to have worked for the worst of the bunch.

Am venting right now and not feeling good at all.

How can I work for people I can't trust?

Sorry to hear that. I guess only thing you can do is start looking for a new job and just suck it up for the time being. I know it sucks but what can you do?

They told me I'd get medical....today they said, oh we lost that a few months back and all we have is dental.

Outright liars....I kept bugging them as I needed a physical...

The lesson for me right now is not to react....and stay calm...

A beer would help that...

LOL...

no contract or paper...I worked here 2 1/2 weeks before I could get them to sit down and agree on my pay...and they said they would confirm in e-mail which they didn't....

Just another crooked company....problem is, all companies are crooked....

I have a confirmation e-mail that I finally sent to my former boss and new part-owner, which he sent to the owner, to forward to the President...that never got forwarded....So I forwarded my copy to the President twice, which she has ignored...

Today she informed me of my pay terms which are contradicted by that e-mail...

So I am going to look for some innerguidance here, but probably not stay...

I have never worked for an outright liar before...

Damn, sorry to hear that. I wouldn't stay either unless I don't have a choice. If they can lie to you at the beginning, then they can lie to you afterward also. I hope you will found something better soon.

Liars are universal. Some happen to be employers. You almost have to get someone over the barrel to get fair treatment...

Damn, sorry to hear about your issues. 100% commish companies can be rough like that, but I would have hoped they outlined the payment schedule in writing from the beginning. Verbal contracts suck, so do they.

Well guess what...I now have a written agreement signed (at the higher rate, I might add) spelling out in detail my compensation....like they should have done this in the first place..then we wouldn't have had these issues..

And yeah, they plan a group medical program in 2008..

Like, Gulp....
