Question? Does the internet REALLY help with kids and their homework or is it just a distraction. When I was in high school and college the internet was still new and no one used it. Prodigy was the only ISP that I can remember.

I think it helps if used as ONE resource only, not as the ONLY resource. Let's face it, the internet is a HUGE part of our daily lives, and kids need to be able to use it.

When finishing up college, I was forced to buy books upon books for each course, most of which I barely cracked the cover on....it was all on the internet.

My daughter rarely use the internet for home work. If her teachers would post assignments up in a timely fashion(if at all) I'd check. Cause everyday it's "no homework today dad" or " I finished it at school" but when we get her report card it says she wasn't turning it in..

I don't know about you guys, but I've tried talking to her teachers and they tell me it's hers and my responsibility to ensure her homework is done. If I don't know what it is how do I do that?

KD, if your kids teacher is keeping up on that I would feel lucky. Other than posting grades, the teachers at my daughters school are too lazy to list the daily assignments..So I have no way to enforce a 'correct' study routine.

BTW mine is a freshman (9th).
