The good...and the bad...

The good....

My first mod for the R7. Yamaha kit narrow band rotors...brand NEW.

And....the bad.

Guess I should have checked the batteries on the bird before taking her out for a spin. Flew great till I got her a few hundred yards away, then she stopped responding and went nose down. I've had this bird for 10 years, so it was due time.

MY bike is an R1 with an R7 fairing and paint scheme.

The bike I'm picking up next Friday is a REAL R7, one of 50 that made it into the states.

And.....

The rotors were just the first piece of the puzzle in making my R7's front end look like this....

I gotta say the picture of the rotor is really beautiful. It looks like a painting or something.

Congrats on the R7, just don't dump it on the track

Yea, but a bunch of the R1 parts are going on the R7. It's not going to look a whole lot different than the R1 does.

AND...you fooker....if you think that's the reason I'm not coming, I'm selling BOTH the R1 and the CBR to get this bike. I guarenteed that the loan I took out would be paid off in less than two months.

You have no idea how badly I want to get over there for the GP, and it's still NOT off the table yet.

So you're selling the R1 in stock (or almost) form?
Really great to know you're getting a real 7, as i know how much you wanted that

And yeah, pay that loan in less than two months and then, if needed, you can make another to come here

Nope. It's going to be FAR from stock. The only parts I'm planning on swapping out are the triples, brakelines, front/rear calipers, Ti axles, and a bunch of the Ti fasteners.

She'll still have PPS-tuned Ohlins front/rear and damper, Marchi wheels, Translogic dash and quickshifter, 41mm carbs and ram airbox, race radiator and Samco hoses, race throttle, GYTR clutch perch and folding lever, rearsets, Akra full system with the MIVV pipe, glass/carbon bodywork with a $1200 paint job, Graves shock link and triples (I got my old triples back!), Brembo HP rotors in front, galfer in back, VAZ sprockets, 520 chain, braided lines, bunch of carbon bits, Factory Pro engine covers, brand-new Barnett clutch, brand-new 2001 frame (with a spare, slightly tweaked frame ), and many many more goodies, all with a clean title.

(hope that didn't sound too much like a for sale add....cause...that's kinda what's coming )

I'm hoping that the R7 OEM front brakes bolt right up, and I'll have to find a rear caliper/hanger. Like I said, she's going to be far from stock, but I'm not going to go crazy on the price. I have to get her sold....not sit around and wait for a buyer who will pay what I really want.
