1st race day results

This was the 1st weekend of racing for me at Pueblo, Co on the new racer the 2003 CBR600RR.

Novice GTU 600's ad under, I had a spot in the 1st row and did 6 laps and the bike died on the straight at 140mph. come to find out it was the kick stand switch had rotated(stand removed but stwich was still there) back to the pits and it was a quick easy fix. Placed 28th I would of been in the top 10 FOOK!

Novice GTO 1000's and under. Row 5 and placed 12th.

Endurence middleweight 600's and under placed 6th. Grid position 1st row.

Sunday Modern Vintage (on the 1999 ZX-6R) last years bike got 6th out of 6. Man thoes other bikes were fast. 1 R6 2 two strokes 250's some -twin and some enduro something. I dont remember the other bikes.

It was fun and I can't wait to do it again in 2 weeks.

I tried the new Michelin Power One and it did great and there is plenty of tire left for a few more weekends. Sorry no good pics we left the 300mm lense at home

that's very cool beav.
I miss the fun of it all . but not the five hour drive on three hours sleep etc.

I took a electrical clip and closed the circuit on my bike iirc.
If you cant remove the kick stand switch for what ever reason no plug etc I would put a jumper clip on the wires so if it ever goes wrong again you'll have redundancy

its called a tap splice , but if your kickstand up is just closing the circuit putting one of these on the wire will connect the two wires upstream essentially doing the same thing and wont hurt the wire real bad for when you put the bike back on the street.
this is all with me guessing you could not just remove the switch for some reason.

I cut the switch off and tied the two wires together and taped them up and was all good for the other races. I will solder them together and make it permament. I kept the switch on because I might make it back to the street.

Cool. I understand the buzz. It is a great feeling even though you go out on teh grid with butterflies in you stomach.

The buzz was that I was grided 1st row for 2 races. And because of bad judgement for the kickstand switch it cost me a top 10 finish. GGGGGGGGRRRRRRRrrrrrrrrrrr

I was sore as hell after the endurace race. But Due to the weather in colorado I haven't ridden much this year to get ready.

But it will only get easier...
