Wen't down today!

Long story short. Was on a road I wasn't familiar with with some friends. Came into the corner faster than I should have. Lost control and low sided into the ditch. I'm thankful for 3 things.

1. Nothing seriously wrong with the bike. Frame, Forks, Motor, Radiator, Swingarm, all important mechanical parts are perfectly fine.

2. My leathers did their job. The side of my leg is a little bruised from the impact but otherwise I'm healthy as can be.

3. I was riding with standup people who all helped me look over my bike, take off all loose peices that were hanging, and lead me home to make sure I didn't run into any other issues and so I ddin't run into any cops. i didn't wan't to claim it on my insurance when I knew it would be an easy fix.

Ride safe people and ***WHERE YOUR' GEAR!!***

That is all.

The only reason the right side toe gaurd (bolted onto the stator covor for those that don't know) got rashed was because after I got my bike out of the ditch I lightly dropped the bike on the right side. I was a little dizzy and tired from pulling the bike out that it just kinda slipped, lol. But otherwise that side is in mint condition.

Front plastics
Left side (clutch side) plastics
Fairing stay? That's the metal peice that holds the front plastics together correct?
Shifter
Toe gaurd? That small peice that bolts onto the stator covor.
Tail plastic.
Preferabally the gloss black ram air ducts that came with the raven r1.

That sounds like the majority of it. Most important stuff anyways. If you notice anything in the pics I might need let me know so i can look.

Thank's alot man.

And yeah I try not to take it too hard. Sure I care for my bikes, I treat them like they are my babies. I don't make a ton of money so I appreciate the things I have.

But if you get into the sport assuming that something is not going to happen............your wrong. Like the good ol' saying, "Shit happens" I'm glad for my health, and I'm glad I was riding with people who care about one another. The bike being mechanically sound was just a big bonus.

No point in wasting time bitching or whining or being pissed off about it. Especially when it was my own fault.

I don't have a ton of money but I'm hoping with how minor it is..........I will have it fixed before winter comes and beable to ride a little more. If not........well then I guess I have something to look forward to this winter. lol

The crew I was with was telling me........."Hey........you should just strip off the side plastics completely.......throw on a single headlight and you'll have a streetfighter. lol If that were my taste that would be the cheaper way to go I guess.

So does anyone have anything?

Most important things I am looking for now are.

1. Left side (clutch side) lower AND upper 06 raven fairings.
2. Shifter lever or the whole shifter with peg and all. Shouldn't need linkage.
3. Front plastics
4. Front fairing bracket.

Those are priority on my list.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Name the price. $$

Well I have decided to just order brand new aftermarket plastics online. Searching the forums for all the parts I will need will take forever and even sometimes when you do find what you need.......it's sometimes hard to trust the person you are buying from. So I don't need any plastics.

Things I WILL need for sure though are the front fairing bracket and the shifter.

Any help would be great.

P.S. Also, this is the site I have been looking at for the plastics.

If you got any opinions on what color scheme you think looks the best let me know.

Aftermarket R1 2004-2006 Fairings - YZF-R1 04-06 Fairings

Right now I'm leaning towards the 50th Ann. paint scheme as that was my second choice after the Raven. Or..........to stick with the dark colors and go with the one right above the 50th. Ann one. Which appears to me to be the same color scheme as the 03 R1 limited Edition.

Make sure you check with Brad from MR Cycles (site sponsor) before you buy, he is normally the cheapest of everyone..

I will point him toward this thread too.

Sorry to hear you went down, but glad that you are OK.

Hit up Captain Squid at MRCycles like R1L said.

Thank's buddy. And yup I will be back in the saddle soon.

Rhett...........I apologize for posting the link. I didn't realize any sponsors here sold full street plastics. I will definately check out Mr. Cycles and see what Captain has.

Thank you.

You may want to check into aftermarket plastics as well. I know you want a specific colour. But, depending on the level of damage and have to replace plastics, aftermarket street skins might be a better option.

Well I just looked at Mr. Cycles and all I see is OEM plastics. And spendy.

This is why I was looking at the above site. It comes with all plastics including the gas tank for 830 bucks. And free shipping as well. Plus I can just pick the paint scheme I wan't and it's done.

If I can't find a foot shifter and a fairing bracket though........I'll probably order from Mr. Cycles. I can't beleive a stupid fairing bracket is 180 bucks though........shees!!

Wow we must have posted at the same time Beav cause I never saw your post. I still have the stock windsheild and the fairing set I'm buying comes with a Dark smoke windsheild so I'm good their. My exhaust is fine as well.

The rearsets on the other hand........are they stock rearsets? If so.........I only need the clutch side rearset with the shifter on it. How much?

Also I am in no need of a fairing bracket anymore as I found a brand new one for 92 bucks. Thank's
