What a crock of SHIT!

What's he done to deserve this? It's one thing to be put on TIME magazine and nominated as their "Man of the Year". but, something as prestigious as this? Holy fucking shit! What a travesty and slap in the face for all those who really DID something to try and make things better.

shit, given that Al fucking Gore and the global warming penguins won it last time I'd say this is a minor improvement.

I've lost respect for the prize tho. As I have for Time man of the year.

I agree it's quite early in his presidency to be getting an award like this.
Someone nominated him within 2 weeks of becoming pres.

Now he certainly played a large part in getting some nuclear agreements into place with Russia about reducing # of missles, and he scrapped the missle defence plan. A lot of his votes might have come from that.

he is getting the prize for not being george bush.
anyone notice that the Hamas is congratulating him.

an award named after the guy who invented tnt

why not create an award in the name of albert Einstein &SR .
in which we can all pretend to travel back in time and forget about this POS award.

I think these awards lost me with the whole al gore thing too.
gore riding around in his limo en route to his mansion with 6 commercial air-conditioning units out back doing a documentary on global warming raking in millions via book deals and green energy companies . Gore with the carbon foot print of at least 500 middle class people preaching to me about my impact on the earth. FOAD al gore.
btw we are in a state of global cooling right now so maybe we should bring back the H2 hummer

Also, even if he did, none if it would have occurred until AFTER his nomination.

He has said like many have said he wants to do this wants to do that and facts are he has done nothing but spend money since he has been in office.

Reagen never got a Nobel peace prize he ended the Cold War and Nuclear Arms Race.. But Carter has won it and what did he do again? oh ya gas rationing...
Nobel is a socialist organization that kisses the ass of Democrats and Socialists plain and simple.. If he had any respect for himself he would have respectfully declined the award but of course not it fuels his ego so he loves it..

This is an insult to: Mother Theresa, Ghandi, Mandela who actually accomplished something

All 3 of those have also won the peace prize tho.

I don't agree with him getting the prize, and neither does he. But it's surely better than last year.

Apparently the reasoning behind it tho was that he engaged the voting public and there was increased voter turnout on both sides during the election. Which is true I guess. I'm not sure if it's deserving of a Nobel peace prize or not tho. I think that if I was giving it out this year it'd probably have gone to the Genocide Intervention Society for what they're doing in Darfur, or more likely to Jestina Mukoko for monitoring human rights abuses in Zimbabwe, and being kidnapped by the bloody secret police over it.

Altho at the moment the current Zimbabwe Gov't has accused her of attempting to train forces to execute a coup d'etat, and she's a missing person. So I guess that'd be a hard one to present, altho I daresay she deserves it more than Barry.

I reckon he was given it as a damper effect to make him think before ramping up military operations in Afghanistan.

People are voting him for people's choice for the Heisman race in College football, on ESPN.

It's pretty funny.
