Breaking News - Camel and Honda get a divorce

Latest news reports say that Camel and Sito Pons have broken up. The dispute was over Max.

Here's links to some articles:
http://www.cyclenews.com/ShowStory.asp?HeadlineID=8446
http://www.superbikeplanet.com/2005/Nov/051106h.htm

Camel is now looking to sponser another team, but the deal is that Biaggi must be included.

Now for the interesting news:

RUMOR has it that Camel and Biaggi will be taking over the Yamaha Tech 3 team. Now before you guys say, "Biaggi sucks why would anybody want him?" Think of it this way:

Firstly, all personality qualms aside, one cannot deny Biaggi has talent. Currently, Biaggi sits 5th in the championship (+$50 to me)
Secondly, if Honda cannot find a new sponser for Sito Pons, the team will be no more. How great is this for the sport? I mean, Honda will no longer have 7 bikes on the grid, but 5. Some other team will be getting BIG MONEY from Camel, and a talented rider.
Thirdly, Stoner will not be joining Camel Honda

What a year indeed.

i'd love to see camel go with yamaha. don't care much for biaggi being there, i just want the money into advancing that tech 3 team and the monetary ability to sign bigger players

feel sorry for Sito's team that sucks big time

bumbag was shite on the yamaha the last time sure he won 2 races after yamaha announced they were sacking him (spot the reaccuring theme) Personally HRC should stick to there guns and tell him to fuck off

as it is the sport needs other sponsors rather than the Smokers brands

if i was in the Yamaha Racing dept i'd be worried now, the thought of bumbag rejoining the company would certainaly piss on my cornflakes in the morning.

great...that throws my team roster thread into disarray!

i can see max go to yamaha. but if pons folds, won't the grid be short two bikes? honda or not, i don't want to see the grid get any smaller than it is.

stoner is supposed to be going to factory yamaha next to Colin. that's been a pretty solid rumor for awhile. he's got burgess and edwards both trying to talk him and yamaha into it.

i'm more curious who's going to sponsor the yamaha team, since rossi pissed in their wheaties and galuoises left....

that report also has sete's deal with ducati falling thru.....and now he's signed.

i wonder if stoner has his 250 ride to fall back on if motogp falls thru?

the report was announced before gibernau announced the ducati relationship, so i think it's still relatively credibile.
