that kills me, everyone is all cheering 'cause he won 10 races in a season, but he had 17 races to do it in, most of the other yamaha champions had 13 or 14 races to do it in.

great example, Rainey had 17 consequtive podiums on the yamaha, now when your season was 14 races long, that's almost a season and a half without stepping off the podium.

I'm trying to dig up some points tables from when Roberts was racing, I'm pretty sure he had a higher win/start ratio than Rossi does, but noone has any records from back that far.
