Bombshell, WCM out for '06

from soup:

A published report in Italy suggests that the WCM MotoGP team, run by American Bob MacLean and long-time GP insider Peter Clifford, won't be racing MotoGP in 2006 unless a miracle sponsor shows itself quickly.

Clifford states that he can assemble a team with KTM engines and Bimota chassis but that he lacks the actual dollars to do so.

It's known that Dorna is partially subsidizing several MotoGP teams in order to get key riders and teams to the grid, but Clifford states in the report that Dorna isn't able to help WCM.

WCM was slated to field American Jason Perez and Jeremy McWilliams in 2006.
