Yeah, whatever. If he's so good he should have been able to develop a winner. Obviously he went down the wrong development path and is now paying for it.

I don't think he's in charge of developing. He gives his input as to what he feels and the engineers at YamaPOO do the rest. Apparently they SUCK!!!!

It's true you can't stay on top forever, but i think Rossi is still the top rider in the world. His bike is not so good. He can usually compensate for this, but it gets to a point where he just can't make up that much difference.
It also masks the problems, which make it harder for the engineers, since they might not know a problem exists if Rossi keeps riding around it.

Anyway, Go Nicky!, hope Rossi makes it interesting, but loses to Nicky overall this year.

Wow people sure give up on Rossi fast. a week ago he was God to some. Ain't nothing like fair weather fans. Not saying there's anything wrong with that, you know, makes it easier in a way for those that stick around. Rossi is 27, he hasn't even reached his prime yet. The only thing that's important now is motivation. And I'm glad he's focusing on having fun instead of pressuring himself into a position where he'd make glaring mistakes etc. Yay for that.

^^^ I'm there with ya on that!

dude still a race-god in my book.

And now with the pressure of the championship out of the way, seems like he'll continue to contribute wholeheartily to developing a great bike, regardless of their misfortunes

The real fans will stick with Rossi, the others were into him because it was "cool"

He is still the best of all time and I have not written him off at all........But Yamaha??????? Go Rossi Go!!!!!

There are still six races left but they are tracks that Hayden usually has a strong showing at.......

i would disagree that he is the best of all time, but that is another discussion...

and as ffwf said, he's 27, hell doohan was just gettting into his groove in his early 30's....

the man still has plenty of racing days ahead of him.

if he desires to do so......

yup. i agree.

never said he was "past his prime". completely disagree. rossi's got LOTS of winning left to do.

just the law of fortune says that you don't ALWAYS have good fortune. he can't be on top ALL the time.

umm yea.... what is he supposed to do click his heels 3x and make it into a dream bike.. He rides the damn bike and gives them feedback on what to do to make it better. He cant control if the engine blows...

The BIKE is failing not Rossi, thats pretty obvious, the bike having hardware failure shouldn't reflect on Rossi in any way.

a rider can cause hardware failure as fast, or faster, than the equipment can.

not saying that is the case here, but it is a fact......
