Akiyoshi tests GSV-R Suzuki:
He will debut at the Motegi GP with a wild-card

Rizla Suzuki MotoGP Test Rider Kousuke Akiyoshi has just completed a thorough test of the 2006 Suzuki GSV-R to prepare himself for his wild-card ride at next month's Japanese Grand Prix.

Team Yoshimura Suzuki racer Akiyoshi - currently racing a Suzuki GSX-R1000 in the All Japan Superbike Championship - will be making his MotoGP debut at the famous Twin Ring Motegi circuit. The 31 year old will certainly be looking to use home advantage as he sets about the task of battling with the top riders in the world.

Akiyoshi was joined by fellow Test Rider Nobuatsu Aoki and the pair completed many laps of the 4.801m long Motegi circuit to find the best set-up for their respective bikes.

The valuable data that they collected will also assist John Hopkins and Chris Vermeulen when the join Akiyoshi on Sunday September 24th for round 15 of the 2006 MotoGP World Championship.

Hopkins and Vermeulen are currently enjoying the summer break and will be at Brno in the Czech Republic on Sunday August 20th when Rizla Suzuki MotoGP rolls back into action.

Don't think this will help much, but then it would be different to see a Suzuki up front in the entire race.
