Alex Barros and Max Biaggi to ride in Motogp !!!

Mario Illien cannot build Formula 1 engines for a year or two because of a deal he has with Mercedes-Benz, but that does not mean the Swiss engine designer cannot win races in MotoGP. Illien has designed and built an 800cc V4 engine motorcycle engine and hopes to battle Yamaha, Honda and Ducati for the World Championship in the years ahead. The Ilmor company will debut a bike in the MotoGP event in Portugal of October 15 and intends to run a full team next year. Ilmor engines have won two Formula 1 World Championships and 11 victories in the Indianapolis 500. The chassis of the new bike has been designed by Swiss engineer Eskil Suter and the word is that Ilmor will try to get veteran racers Alex Barros and Max Biaggi to ride the bike in the months ahead.

it's great to see interest in the series but I don't know if coming back to motogp on an Illmor is the best of ideas for Max or Barros. Maybe Illmor has the money to make it interesting, maybe they even have the technology to be competitive but they have little experience as far as motorcyle racing.

Engineer: Well Max... what do you think? What should we change to go faster?

Max: Dis Moto... eeeeeh... she is - how we say? Krap! Pizz off!

Max is not your best candidate for engineering development but I hope Ilmore puts out something somewhat competetive... Maybe his little hiatus has humbled him a bit?

Max is back!!! Sweet. A real top 3 rider in the world will be racing... Adds for more excitement. Im tired of people bitching about Max Biaggi... You all complain about him complaining about his bike but your just acting the same by always bitchin about him.

GREAT NEWS

max, if he comes back, needs to be in a decent team not this. I don't want to see him run at the back at the pack just to collect a paycheck.

Rumour is Max is going to Ducati D'antin. Ducati has a goal of having stronger satellite teams next year forward... Also james Toseland has been given the nod as his team mate

I think Max is a great rider... but he put himself out of a ride this season, all on his own... It will be nice to have him back in MotoGP, but the guy is gonna have to be more of a team player...

If Biaggi could not win a championship on the Repsol Honda, why would anyone think he could win on this Illien bike.
Biaggi should stay where he is in retirement.

I think being the development rider for HRC sucks. Nicky has just been mum about it. Nicky is in the middle of contract talks. He is unsigned for next year.

Biaggi is good for the series. Brings money, good riding, and yes that sour attitude of his.

well, you could say that of any guy in GPs now that has been there for more then 2 years. What are Capirossi, Checa, Hopkins,....still doing there? They haven't won a championship in the top class. You could take the whole grid other then Rossi and kick them out.

Biaggi finished way back in the point standings last year, on the top factory Honda. What does that tell you HE SUCKS and CANNOT DEVELOP A BIKE to save his A$$.
Hayden is a much better rider and a class act compare to Biaggi.
If he is not retired he f**king should be.

Chubby Checa should be replaced I why he still has a gig, but then I guess we need someone to finish last. :jimmie
Hopkins needs an other bike, maybe a Honda, I would like to see what he could or can do on a good bike.
Capiroosi is a great rider, if Giberhoe could have spared him in Spain, than he would be ride up there in the points battle w/Hayden. Want proof?, than please watch the last GP.

Also Ducati develops their bikes on how they want, not how the riders want therefore who suffers in the end. The rider.

proof? That's not proof. Proof would be him being right there in the championship. He can win races, but that's not proof of him being able to win championships. Don't get me wrong, I like Capirossi, and only mentioned him with the other guys to make a point, but he has not yet even been close to win a 500 or 990 championship. Who knows Ducati is telling everybody who wants to listen that they have a great bike for next year.

Dont know why you are shitting on Checa... He has impresses all in the paddock developing the Dunlop M1.

To produce top tens relatively consistently on a 05 satellite bike, no less on a burgeoning effort from Dunlop, gets respect from me and many in the paddock...

As for Hayden. He knows how to shut his mouth. He knows he can get caught up in bullshit, or focus on his racing.

If Nicky wins it will be an incredible feet, given he has been on a evo bike since the inception of this season.
They did the same shit to Biaggi last season, being having him on an evo bike.
That is the role as head rider, DEVELOPING. Well see next year how the hobbit does with it.

werd.

plus he was a major force in the 250's, 4 consecutive championships yea? Capirossi gave him abit of hassle towards the end.

Also, anybody else wanna name someone that won his debut premier class race? Rossi spent his in the gravel after crashing out of like 14th place! LOL

that was also before he turned into a total dickhead and bought into his own PR.

HAIL TO THE KING!!

The man is good, no doubt about that. He deserves a GP ride.
