AMA at Barber.

Why donīt you guys write about your domestic series?

Anyway it seems there have been plenty of action at Barber already.

The first Superbike race ended with Spies biting the dust and Mladin winning. That old man is harder to get rid of than chewing gum in your moustache!

tell him to come on up and run pro600 at Mosport!

yea, Mladin is a guy that's difficult to beat. Stubborn old son of a bitch, it's weird, but the reason he dominates AMA is the same reason we won't see him in WSBK or GP. as far as he's concerned they've had their f*cking chance at him and blew it, and he's so determined and stubborn that he'll never ever change his mind.

4th, 6th, 8th and 14th are all cakers that I follow. 6th especially, he's 16 years old this year. He's got the skills, Jordan is gonna have to do everything he can to keep the kid back. By the end of the season last year Brett was visibly holding back 'cause Jordan had a championship on the line. Barring the last race where Brett was basicly ordered to run rabbit and do whatever it takes to beat Crevier.

It's a fairly tight circuit up here, between myself and my close friends we personally know probably 5 of the regular top 10. If Fredrik is seriously interested in running up here, fire me a PM, I'll see if I can give him a hand getting it all set-up.

I followed it on live-timing and Herrin seemed to run a perfect race, follow and then strike at the end and win.

Cool. I like to follow the young kids and see them develop, itīs fun as they can make huge strides in short time.

Do you have a calendar of the series, and more info. I will e-mail them and tell them about the option. I guess it will be down to money.

Mladin replied like this regarding the rule changes.

If Yoshimura Suzuki decide to get involved in whatever
class it is, then I think the results will be the
same. It doesn't matter what class it is.

Not all that interesting when Yosh has been so dominant for so long...
Besides, I was busy watching lawn mower racing!

Major changes are coming... maybe a sign of better racing for the future of our domestic series...

How popular will it be? Who knows... its racing so I'll watch.

I doubt you will see Mladin in the series next year. I think he wants #7 and then will be off to Oz to run his own show out there. What and which show I don't know but he will do it his way.

I cannot believe as exciting and competitive the supersport class is that the new owners want to kill the class. I agree the control tire and spec fuel is needed, I agree that factory teams need to field or support more than 2 riders per team, but what does a FX class really bring to the table. I say adopt WSBK rules for liter bike and supersport and adjust the factory teams as necessary.

I'll be the first one to say it I guess.

I love AMA SBK as it is right now.... yes, you know one of the Yosh suzuki's will win, but I haven't seen 2 guys racing that close since Wayne and Kevin. Maybe not even then. They're completely merciless with each other and will do whatever it takes.

I agree with you, but I am also a very big Mladin fan so I don't mind seeing him leaving everyone else behind.

Do they have great equipment? Yes. But so does Tommy Hayden and he's not putting that kind of gap on the rest of the pack. The yamahas are more than capable this year, the hondas obviously still need some development. Rider skill is the biggest factor whether you want to admit it or not. It would be nice for "closer racing" but you can't blame the two yosh guys for being good at what they do on a factory ride. Just my two cents though.
