Thumbs up After 3 Races

In my class Novice GTU which means noob on 650cc's or less I am ranked 18th. My 1st race I blew the start and got 30th out of 33. (I had to do a stop and go which took awhile because I didn't remember what to do or what I did wrong) The next 2 races I placed 12th and then 15th. Not bad for a noob on a 10 year old bike and my first race season. In my other class. Middleweight endurance. Which means 650 cc's and under and race as much as possible in a 30 minuite race I am 10th over all in points standings. What sucks is that the next 2 races I can not attend which is going to hurt me in the over all points standings. But the coolest thing is that I am DOING IT!

Well done Beavis!

I can appreciate your excitement as i have decided to have a crack at the racing myself.I'll be 40 in a matter of days and in over 20 years of riding i've never had more fun on a motorcycle than the 4 race meets i've done so far this year!

For those of you that are thinking about having a go,get out there and do it,it's never too late!

Anyway apologies for jacking your thread Beavis, keep us up dated on your progress and keep the pics coming.

I'd give up a kidney to have a track close to here
guess I'll have to settle for 100 degree humid days with insane gun crime and BBQ instead
yay

I agree with Todd. If you have the chance, money and time to race. Just do it! There is always a class or series that will fit and you will have more fun in one race weekend than from several years on the streets.
