Spoiler:
Jordan won it this afternoon, standard Jordan performance, think championship, not race win, came home 3rd and bagged the title. He's got a chance to win superbike this afternoon too. Seems like everyone else is determined to give it to him this year.

Superbike spoilers from Shuby.

Spoiler:

first race, Szoke wins over McBain, pulling a last lap move into T1 and holding his lead until the line. It looked almost like a Rossi performance, they changed the lead several times over the early laps, Szoke decided that he couldn't break him and didn't need the "most laps lead" points near as bad as he needed the ones for the win, held back, watched, studied, planned, last lap he made his move and blocked. Peris trickled in 7 seconds behind the leaders, Brett 11 seconds. Hot young gun Brian Blaauwendraat came home 7th on a CBR600rr, beating out Crevier (winningest rider on Canadian Superbike history) on the Buell. Buell need to either step up their game, or tuck their tail and head home. That thing is down 50hp on the field. It's not like Rotax don't know how to make an engine, they gotta get their shit together 'cause as it stands, this is a humiliation to them. It's difficult to blame Buell or Crevier for the thing not winning, Crevier obviously knows how to ride, and is it the chassis fault that it's not winning when it's down 50 bloody hp?

Race 2:
Spoiler:

second race, McBain got the holeshot and lead start to finish, that's 3 race wins this year for him, more than his entire career up to this point I think. He's definitely coming into his own and the Suzuki has evidently got something for the kawasaki, particularly at the fast/sweeping tracks. He also won at Calgary, which is very much a point and shoot track, but it's his home track. Guy's always been a good rider but never seemed to have the package. Sure seems like he's got it put together now tho.

The Dynamic Kawasaki duo finished off the podium, which shouldn't be a shock, however what WAS a shock, was that Brett beat Jordan, with Szoke coming home 3rd. Narrowly edging Chris Peris (mr.World Supersport himself) off the box. Brett winning is a shock to me, particularly as the extra points would have sealed the championship for Jordan. Team orders are pretty clearly not in play and Brett seems eager to establish Alpha Male credentials for next year. Good for him as he's not getting younger and if he wants to go world supers or gp, he's gonna have to move aggressivly. I talked to him at Mosport about that and he seems keen to give world supers a try, less keen for GP. Good imo 'cause he's 1) too tall and b) holding the wrong passport to ever have a legitimate shot at the level of equipment necessary to "make a splash" in GP. Lacombe, who was in with a shot at the title heading to Shuby, finished 7th, getting thoroughly trounced by local hotshot/newcomer Brian Blaauwendraat, who was riding a several year old CBR600rr, and managed to lay Lacombe and his factory R1 out flat crossing the line with a 15 second lead. Very impressive for a rookie privateer, I'm hoping that this doesn't go unnoticed and someone sees to it that he gets a factory ride next year. Perhaps Picotte Suzuki. That said I've never heard of the guy before and it's possible he doesn't speak english, in which case his odds of getting a ride are slightly larger than the odds of me NOT drinking on a saturday night.
