So why did Nakano get the hook up?

Well here is an interesting rumor I came across that I think would be fun to toy around with...

Apparently, Dani will be either heavily campaigning for Bridgestones next year OR already has it inked for next year.

Puig being the a-hole he is (well I like to affectionately refer to him that way) wants a split garage with Dovizioso on Michelins.

So Nakano is their test rider to begin development\testing of the new parts on Bridgestones

Not too far fetched if you ask me... I just hope Nakano whoops on the midget

I don't think Nakano will be able to do much damage to Pedrosa, but it's definitely an interesting turn of events. Their riding styles aren't terribly dissimilar.

HAIL TO THE KING!!

The split garage thing is far fetched though.

Well Nakano certainly didn't do his repuation any harm in the race today, im not going to spoil where he finished, but it was a good performance.

He did as good as his material IŽd say. He deserves his spot in GPs.
Clever move by HRC to get the bike on Bridgestones so they can confirm that they need to switch rubber for 2009...

Indeed... It actually looks like everyone may be on Slipstones next year.

Ok this might be a wild idea, but since BS also doesn't want to be the only brand in the series, do you think they will intentionally slow down their development to let Michelin catch up a little? Look at it this way, it's pressure on them too, not only on Michelin.

That sounds a bit crazy... I think Michelin can match them tech wise... they may need to take a step back and spend some time analyzing their current data. Obviously not being able to fly in last minute rubber is hurting them a bit.

Maybe the league will do away with the current tire rules and let both manufacturers fly in last minute rubber again...

Michelin really are in the deep.
pedrosa only tested elevn laps today and has been quoted as saying that Michelins front tire is so bad that he canŽt do any serious development/testing on it.....
