Valencia thread

I'm about to hit the sack, but here it goes.

Qualy results? Jorge pulling a lap out of the bag at the last minute after having run last place in all session while covered in Lorenzoland flags?

perhaps a slightly less egomaniacal attitude for next year will do some good. Particularly from the guy that had decent odds to take the championship in his rookie year, particularly after the talk about how easy to ride the bike was (how'd that work out?)

Hayden got the steam to make an impression while leaving Honda? carrying a "No Hypocrite" sticker on the windscreen rather than the standard "Kentucky Kid" what's that about? Who's that directed at?

Dani on home turf, front row start. Possible disappearing act? Wants to put Nick in his place infront of the home crowd?

Dovi as the darkhorse/wildcard? wanting that rookie of the year so bad he can taste it but needing a win to get it. Seems unlikely for him to lose a place in the championship, he'd have to crash with Nick winning, not a terribly likely scenario I don't think. In order to get the extra championship place and rookie of the year, he'd have to win with Lorenzo crashing. Also unlikely, but strikes me as more likely than the former scenario.

Valencia sets the tone for the following year. What we see today will dictate the shape of things to come.

the elephant in the room that I forgot to introduce.

Rossi has continued his record of shite qualifying at Valencia, he's Q'd in 10th. Can he make it up and give Vale another "omg he won from waaaaay back on the grid" to find statistics about a record he broke?

not sure I'd bet against it.

I read that Hayden and his crews made a sticker "N.Hypocrite" to put on the bike, but Honda asked him to remove it... lol

By the way, anyone watched the QP from Eurosport and heard what Gardner and Mamola said about Rossi/Stoner?

uhh, I heard Gardner say that Stoner would be his first pick. I may have to re-watch it, I was kinda only watching it with one eye.

Not only Lorenzo, but Honda is also running a special "Escuderia Repsol" livery.

They didn't run it Fri/Sat, but apparently they did on the morning warm-up, and they will be using it for the race too.

So what was their comments?

Cracking race in 125:s, I wish MotoGP could get close to that sometime....
250s was great for a while to and a shame Kallio dumped it so early in the last lap as I guess he would have tried in the last corner if he ha a chance or not.

shame for Kallio.

Allwell, he'll be in 800gp next year, will be interesting to see how that goes.

According to the commentators at Motogp.com Nakano will go to Aprilia in WSBK next year.

On the other hand, Stoner is the opposite and mastered the electronics. Gardner agreed and said he has ridden the Ducati himself.

I seem to remember them saying that "you needed the courage of youth" to twist it open, and that Rossi doesn't have that.

That would be directed at Assholeo Puig wouldn't it?
Didn't the mean spirited little tosser call Hayden a hypocrite in his anti-Nicky rant a few weeks back?

Why are Hayden's stickers always so lame?
I am sure there's been others but first the "NUMBERS DON'T L1E"
and now this?

IMHO he should just have one all the time that says BAWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW
