Cool WSMC/AFM/WERA Ninja 250R Cup

ninjarace.jpg

"Just as supermotos were a cheap way of track junkies getting around the track. The ninja 250 will spearhead a whole new movement in racing. Cheap and affordable racing are going to be key in 2008. When riders cannot make up for lack of skill by simply turning their wrists on 1000cc superbikes, this 250 will bring out the true talent in riders.

While the 250 is an entry level bike. Kawasaki has made a race only 250 for the 2008 WSMC

No internal engine mods will be allowed, the stock airbox must be used. Aftermaket exhausts and airboxes will be allowed in the competition. Aftermarket shocks, forks etc.. will be allowed. But no engine modifications will not due to regulations.

Lets face it, taking a 10,000$ 1000cc superbike to a track day isn't a great idea. Taking a 250 will be a great tool for the aspiring racer who wishes to hone his skills. Its as if only giving an artist 2 chalks of charcoal to draw a masterpiece, an inferior artist might look at it as being impossible. But a great artist looks at the two chalks and sees the infinite possibilities. This is the ninja 250.

AFM and WERA (National) will be adopting the rules from WSMC for the Ninja Cup for the 2009 season. This means Ninja 250's will have their own class for the 2009 Season."

Ohhhhhh Sarrrahhhhhh... ....

I've told my friends a few times that I would love to have one of these bikes to race and ride the twisties with and they all think I'm crazy.

Imagine going out riding with the local squids and laying an ass whooping on them riding one of these. You couldn't ride the same road back with all of the shattered pride on the ground.
