Who will win the 2009 WSBK title?

So who do you think will be crowned 2009 WSBK Champion?
I am a long time Haga fan and really hopes he can bag a title but after the pre-season I must admit that I think Spies will have a very good shot at the title.
He is a very talented and also reliable rider who always scores points. The new R1 seems to be a great bike with loads of potential to be even better and he is in one of the best teams in the paddock. He will get my vote but if Haga wins it Ill be very happy.

Me...

Picked Haga... although Spies does look good already.

Wasn't Corser the only or the last Rookie to bag the title in WSBK in his rookie season after bagging the AMA title as well the year before? Would be cool if Spies can duplicate that...

This is going to be an exciting year... I don't think I'll miss MotoGP much.

Picked Nori. He is hot or cold but he has the team and teams win championships. Spies no doubt will make everyone in the WSBK paddock a believer in the new R1, but it is a long season and he still has tracks to learn...

Haga needs to win.
I want that guy to have the title so badly, he deserves it

I'd love to see Nitro Nori finally get one ... too bad it won't be with a Yam after his time with the factory but if he can keep it upright and consistent I'd love for him to do it regardless of the team.

Spies all the way. You just can't ride a bike as hard as he does and not win.

Nice resurrection.
Who's gonna win it NEXT year?
There's some great names and very talented riders in WSBK for 2010 and I'm starting to despair that Haga will ever win one now. That being said Jonny Rea will be tough to beat, Haslam is switching to Factory Suzuki alongside Sylvain Guintoli so they will be a force to be reckoned with, J-t is back with something to prove, Fabrizio has been getting faster and faster - should be lots of fireworks

Oh man, I totally can't call next year till there's some testing data comes in. With Ben gone it's a lot less clear cut.

Off the top of the head I'd say contenders will be Little Haslam, Max N, Guinters and Haga.

Dunno if I can call Haga for it tho, he's cursed. Which I seemed to remember before this season when a bunch of others forgot it, lol.

Poor old Nori - I really feel for him you know?

I said before that this year might be his last kick at the can but I guess he's gonna have one more after all...

I do too man. It's shitty. But he will retire in my mind as the best racer ever to not win a world title. Without a doubt. I don't think that missing the titles really interferes with my opinion of him. But I guess I'm a more hardcore fan than normal.

I too have a lot of respect for Nori... he has been a favorite for a long time for me. I hope he can get one, but I will still put him up on the list even without one.
