Canepa and Sete surprise me, I thought they'd be further towards the front.

Interesting definitely that kallio is able to spank Nicky right out of the gate like that, I didn't expect that, I thought it'd take awhile.

Well. Thatīs anoither story.
Stoner not winning in Qatar would be a big disappointment for him.

More riders with respectable times this time around, maybe the cooler weather later tonight will divide the field again. It is great to see Marco back up where he belongs - seems like he is starting to el with the Hayate bike.
Stoner strongest during the seesion, with Rossi always closing the gap. What really makes one wonder is what is up with the Ducati as Kallio is second Ducati and he is a whooping two seconds behind Stoner..

I have to say I would have thought heīd perform a bit better...
Very nice to see Melandri drop 1.5 seconds of his time from yesterday though. Sad story about the team and the told lack of development as it seems Marco likes this bike at least a bit.

I was hoping for a good year in gp with Nicky on the fastest bike, Sete being back in the game on a duc as well... I was thinking it would be a good mix at the top... the is only practice though... so let's hope for improvment.

The usual suspects at the front.

Haydens high sider was a massive one. Damn! That got to have hurt.
Yamaha looks really strong as well as Suzuki. Kallio does a great job in his first MotoGP race.

Stoner had four laps in the 1.55s but his race pace isnīt that much better than Rossis, seems to be about two to three tenths at the moment. They both seem to be able to do 1.56s with ease, Lorenzo a bot slower and Edwards actually faster on race pace - at least in practise!
