BSB 2009 first race of the year.

A lot of changes for this years BSB season, teams changing bikes, riders changing teams and Pirellis supplying the tires.

Before todays races at the Brands Hatch Indy Circuit the teams hade three days of free practise and for many teams it was the first time they fired up their bikes, for instance Airwaves Yamaha who have changed from Ducati to Yamahas started their bikes for the first time. Colin Wrights squad being arguably the best team in the paddock still havenīt recieved all the parts for their WSBK spec machines so they still have 25% more stuff to come according to Colin Wright.

Karl "The Bomber" Harris had dominated the free practises but continued where he finished last year by not finishing the race, at least the first one.

MotoGP rider Sylvain Guintoli had pole for his Worx Suzuki team and showed that he is a good signing by getting first and second, pretty decent for a series rookie.

HM Plant Honda rider and ex SS600 rider Joshua Brookes wasnīt allowed in the UK due to some VISA issues so Steve Plater stepped up and did double duty for his team, he is HM Plant Hondas SS600 rider.

Anyway. The results.

Dang it... Guintolli would have been the sleeper pick for my fantasy league...
Oh well... Camier showed up for me in race 2

I think that Guintoli is in with avery good chance of winning the whole thing. Would be great with afrog on the top step in the UK.

It is worth trying to download the BSB races as they usually provide fun racing.

Ya, I know it's bad of me but I just can't be bothered to care. I'm not fond on most of their tracks, doesn't tend to produce real good riders. If I'm after watching some riders that are never gonna be world champs, I'd rather watch local stuff as I like the tracks better, and can actually talk to the guys, or have a beer with them.

I enjoy watching a good scrap any day and BSB has loads of em, much better than AMA for the last few years even though Mladin/Spies has fun to watch occassionally.
