Interesting stuff on the 2009 Yamaha M1.

As always interesting to read what Yamaha has done to their bikes during the off seasons. I wish the othe rmanufacturers would be as open as well.

very good read. I always enjoy reading Yamaha's tech reports. I'm not willing to say that they always admit their problems tho. The small problems yes but in 2006 they sure didn't admit what was causing that massive chatter/overheating problem, or what they did to solve it.

But hey, Honda didn't spill a word about the 211v until it was retired.

HAIL TO THE KING!!

Yeah. It would be great to read more from the manufacturers.

Sure you can, just replace "Yamaha" with "________" andf fill it whatever manufacturer you want. The majority of those changes are basic stuff that everybody is doing. Suffice to say that none of that article is a secret or Yamaha would not have divulged it. My guess is that everybody has done pretty much the same stuff.

Yamaha was successful this year because they have the best number - 46. Put him on a Honda or Ducati and they would have won.

But we want to know what changes they are doing because it is interesting to see what is done between years and of course they donŽt tell the whole story but still you learn and IŽd like to see similar stuff from all other manufacturers on the grid.
