Wayne G reviews the '09 WSBK contenders

Interesting comments, not at all what I would have expected. Other than the Aprilia.

I was really surprised with what he said about the Kawi actually. In Canadian SBK the Kawi is by far the smoothest bike out there on the throttle. Atleast it seems that way when you're standing on the inside of the turn and listening to it.

I'm surprised with his opinion of the Suzuki tho, it's not a radical departure from the old chassis. Maybe Kid1000 is right and it's way too stable? Seems like all the Japanese bikes are a little overly stable actually.

given that the bigbang is instantly giving away your resonance tuning, I was really surprised too.

the other intresting thing was that he said the yamaha was not even all that great of a bike compared to the others, really showing just how much it was spies talent that had that bike as a consistent contender

That I wasn't surprised by. I know Sykes knows how to ride a bike and he wasn't anywhere near the front.

One factor to consider is that we do not know how fast Gardern wnet, with all due respect to his pedigree but he ain´t no spring chicken.

yea hopefully his age has calmed him down a little. He frankly rode too hard when he was young.

I saw the vids with interest but I judge for what they are. Wayne Gardners view of the 09 WSBK bikes.
