they will all be 4's because the rules state 4 cylinders only, no more V5's.

rules say 4 cylinder maximum.

But with an 81mm bore restriction in place (which follows into the singles twins and triples) only a 4 is feasible in terms of bore/stroke ratio.

ah, i guess the news sites I read came to that same conclusion, cause they just said 1000cc 4 cyls, didn't bother mentioning upto

I think that 1000cc 4 cyl 4 stroke moto gp is a good thing for us in the future that rides liter bikes. What they do and make on the track w/in a few years trickles down to the consumers.

As most of know, performance V4's are already in the market place, Aprilia, Ducati (okay it's an expensive, high maintenance Desmo), but I just see them start slapping more improved ABS, Traction control etc, I don't see that much trickling down apart from perhaps some valave train exotica. But WTF do I know
