Accident history--Colin Edwards

Hey Guys,
I was speaking to someone the other day about Colin being involved in the accident with Marco, and they said that they heard that this was the fourth accident Colin has been involved in where someone has died.
For the life of me I can't think of any other times that this might have happened?
Some of you know way more about racing than I could ever imagine, so help me out. Is this true. Can any of you recall anything like this?
If so... that really sucks for Colin.

I've never heard such a piece of info before, doubt it is true.
This is the 2nd incident for Grisini Honda, after Kato was killed on one of their bikes back in 03.

Colin did come to MotoGP to replace a guy that died.

I had it in my head there was one back in WSBK too, but I can't think of it. What about that one at Laguna where somebody took out that tree at the top of the corkscrew after a brake failure?

I feel terrible to not be able to remember but it must be 15 years ago now.
