MotoGP: FIM announces yellow flag rule change
The Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme last weekend announced various modifications to the MotoGP World Championship regulations, including changes to the penalty system.
The new yellow flag regulations stipulate the following: In the case of a rider overtaking under yellow flags, the rider will have to go back to a position decided by the Race Direction, and no longer the position he occupied before the infringement.
As normal, when waved at the flag marshal post, this flag will continue to indicate that there is danger ahead. The riders must slow down and be prepared to stop. Overtaking is forbidden up until the point where the green flag is shown.
