MotoGP/DTM: Doohan to race Prost, Mansell.

Five-times 500GP world champion Mick Doohan will take on Formula One title winners Alain Prost, Nigel Mansell, Jody Scheckter and Emerson Fittipaldi in a special charity 'race' at this weekend's round of the DTM, at the Norising in Germany.

The five will each take to the track in DTM cars from Audi, Mercedes and Opel to see who is quickest over a series of qualifying style laps, with the times set in each car added together.

Four-times F1 champ Prost has previously driven a DTM machine, while the others will get their first taste during practice sessions today (Friday).

"Never before in DTM history has there been a 'race' like this," ITR chairman Hans Werner Aufrecht said. "This is an additional highlight for both the crowds on the Norisring grandstands and the TV audience. We are truly proud that these former World Champions agreed to enter the DTM cars for this charity event."
